Fifty percent of all people develop hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids are a painful and often embarrassing problem. But you don't have to live with the pain when treatment is easy and fast.
Hemorrhoids are enlarged blood vessels in and around the anus and rectum. There are two types of hemorrhoids: external hemorrhoids near the anus and internal hemorrhoids found within the anus beneath the lining.
Symptoms of hemorrhoids include pain and bleeding during bowel movements, itching in the anal area or sensitive lumps.
Mild symptoms of hemorrhoids may be relieved through a high fiber diet. More severe cases can be treated in a variety of ways. Ligation treatment involves placing a rubber band over the hemorrhoid which strangles it. A hemorrhoid can also be injected with a solution that kills it. A hemorrhoidectomy removes the excessive tissue that causes pain and bleeding.
Consult your doctor for the option that is best for you.
